​Infants and Toddler Class
The Infant and Toddler Program at New Horizon Preschool and Learning Center offers a variety of rich and supportive learning experiences in a warm, loving, and nurturing environment. All activities are appropriately designed to meet the developmental stages of both infants and toddlers. Our program focuses on the following key developmental areas: early literacy and language skills, sensory and perceptual development, physical and motor development, social and emotional growth, self-help skills and cognitive abilities. Teachers offer infants and toddlers experiences that support initiative, creativity, and self-esteem. They are wholly available and responsive to the individual needs of the children. Our exciting, safe, and fun environment allows the children to thrive and flourish.
​Preschool Class
New Horizon Preschool and Learning Center offers a fun, exciting, and stimulating learning experience that will engage and nurture each child. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum utilizes a rich variety of materials and activities that promote early literacy and language skills, physical and motor development, social and emotional growth, and intellectual/educational development. Our children learn through curriculum based teaching as well as hands-on, exploratory activities. In addition, we utilize Learning Centers that encourage children to learn through play. Our enrichment programs include Music and Creative Movement, and Exploration in Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Nutrition.
Volunteer Pre Kindergarten (VPK) Class
​VPK is a state-funded, free program open to all Florida residents with children who turn 4 on or before September 1st of the school year. Our VPK program is designed to help prepare children for Kindergarten, using a developmentally appropriate curriculum that encompasses all areas of the 2008 Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Education Standards. Children will be engrossed in a fun and stimulating learning environment, enriched with specialized learning activities such as journal writing, sight words, creative art projects, computers and more!
Our VPK program is engaging and enjoyable for teachers, children and parents. New Horizon Preschool and Learning Center participates in many activities and special events including but not limited to Fire Department and Dentist, a special Thanksgiving Day Feast, Holiday celebrations, Muffins with mom, Donuts with Dad, Egg Hunt and Grandparents day. Our program also consists of weekly food experiences, outdoor activities, as well as nutritious daily snacks and Lunch. We sponsor Scholastic Book Fairs and participate in the Scholastic Book Club. We end a spectacular year with a fabulous Graduation Ceremony.
Open Houses, Parent-Teacher Conferences, VPK round up, and other special events are scheduled throughout the year to keep parents informed about their child’s progress and development. Monthly newsletters provide parents with constant information regarding curriculum themes, activities, and special events.
Our VPK program runs for 3 hours per day, with a morning class (9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) Families interested in full-time care also have the option to enroll their child in our wrap-around (6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.) program.
​Before and After school Class
​New Horizon Preschool is proud to offer before and after school for children Kindergarten to Fifth Grade. Your child can be dropped off with us as early as 6:30 a.m. and will be taken to school. Leaving no worries of picking up your child, we will be glad to get them for you our doors are open till 6:30 p.m. We service Calusa Elementary currently.
​Summer Program

As the weather gets warmer, New Horizon Preschool and Learning Center gears up for a fabulous summer!
We are proud to announce that, in addition to enrolling children from six weeks through five years of age, our summer program is also open to school-aged children through age 12.
Your child will explore exciting curriculum themes,
and will also have an opportunity to participate in special fun activities such as Water Play, Pizza and Hot Dog Days, Movies, Crafts, Games, and more!
We also have various field trips. New Horizon Preschool and Learning Center’s summer program provides the perfect setting for summer fun and learning!
